In online marketing it’s often confusing as to what should you do to maximize your business performance. The answers given are vague and confusing. However in this post I wish to share my opinion with you all and request your frank feed back. I hope I am not asking for too much as this discussion will help many of us in understanding things better.
The first and the most pressing question one comes up with is How to get more hits? Obviously without getting hits you cannot sell anything from your site. If you ask this question , the reply you will get is buy some advertising service through traffic exchange and everything will be alright. This is not true for the simple reason that nobody is interested in reading ads on these sites, Every body is interested in advertising their products. Then who is going to read your ad or visit your site from these traffic exchanges. The next solution offered is subscribe to safe lists to send bulk mailers and solo ads to all the members which will be thousands on any safe list. In bargain your inbox is bombarded with mailers from other members, honestly who reads all these mailers? They are trashed without reading , this is what is happening to your mailer also.
Initially your focus should be on resource building and not getting huge number of hits because at the end of the day your site needs may be fifteen to twenty five thousand hits in total to make it successful. The resources you must concentrate on building should be List, affiliates, one time customers, long time customers depending on your business and joint venture partners. After this you can buy your hits but please do not waste money on leads where for an amount of money some number of hits are assured, these hits are from people who are neither interested in your business nor looking for any kind of products or businesses on line. You can opt for PPC which is pay per click offered by search engine advertisement, Once again you have to thoroughly understand how these work and optimize your keywords otherwise you will land up losing lots of money without any results.
