We can all agree that prospecting can be a frustrating process. At times it can be downright demoralizing! I'm no different than you; I've felt those same lows that seem to follow us around as internet marketers. By others helping me, I have come to see prospecting in a different light. I'm hoping that I can offer you this same help.
Before jumping into what kinds of specific questions to ask our prospects, it's important to understand how people operate emotionally. For most of us, our attention span is very short, only 30-45 seconds. Therefore, it is critical that we realize up front that our window of opportunity is (at first) not a big one.
So my first tip is to get prospects talking about themselves...get them to plug into their dreams, their imaginations, their 'why'...get them to plug into you!
At the same time, try to build some rapport with them...common points of interest. Speak with enthusiasm and with a smile in your voice. People will be attracted to your energy. They will be attracted to YOU. This is really important.
Above all else, don't try to be perfect! None of us will ever have the perfect line, the perfect product, the perfect formula. Just throw it out there! I had an uncle who used to say, "Do anything, even if it's wrong." Step out with boldness and confidence. Just do it. Believe!
