The Vedantic thought of irresistible urge to understand the deeper meaning of life has prompted many a seeker to take the leap from an established career and lifestyle to the life of austerities and renunciation.
The motto of Sivananda’s Divine Life Society were simple “ Serve, love, Give, Purify, Meditate and Realize”. He said “What is essential is to purify the inner consciousness first and the prerequisite to that is to first serve”.
His teachings were aimed at intense self-effort. His unique Do-It-Now principle exemplified the focused pragmatic approach to spirituality and Life. “Never allow things to be undone for one reason or the other and this one discipline would carry the seeker forward on his journey to seek Truth.
Compare this to the world we live in where every step is cloaked in self-interest and deceit, Most of us are in pursuit of Riches at the cost of becoming morally and spiritually poorer and poorer, Where are we headed?
If anyone can change this, it is YOU and better DO-It-Now.
